In 2026 we celebrate our 30th anniversary, a milestone we wish to commemorate through initiatives that reflect our commitment to culture, training, education and artistic creation. For this reason, a special edition of the Guadamora Chamber Music Competition will take place.

The Guadamora International Music Competition, whose first edition was held in 2000, established itself as a renowned competition. Its prestige was built on two fundamental pillars: the excellence of its jury, which was chaired by maestro Antón García Abril (deceased in 2021) and counted on the work of its secretary, Ernesto Blanco Rodríguez; and its marked international character, granted by the high level of participating groups from diverse countries such as Canada, Japan, the United States and several European nations. Throughout its four editions, the competition has featured outstanding winners, including the Arriaga Quartet and the Sasaki-Kawamura Duo (2000), the Iberbrass Quintet (2001), the Granada Brass Quintet (2002) and the Éxodus Quartet (2003). On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, the Foundation revives the competition in 2026 with a special edition, thus reaffirming its commitment to the promotion of chamber music.
